Dr. Josh Korman’s vision for Wunderbar Advanced Medical Aesthetics was a modern, advanced studio in Los Altos where patients could access the latest in aesthetic treatments within a space that felt elevated and seamless. Simour’s role was to bring that vision to life, shaping a layout where cutting-edge care and comfortable experience work hand in hand.
The brief centered on flow. Within 1,626 square feet, the design had to support a full slate of advanced treatments five dedicated treatment rooms, plus space for laser and CoolSculpting equipment, a consultation and numbing room, and a doctor’s office while keeping the patient journey calm and intuitive. Treatment spaces were carefully zoned and screened with transition glass and clerestory windows that borrow light without sacrificing privacy, so the space feels open and bright rather than clinical.
The experience was designed to feel as considered as the treatments. An arched entrance wall and a polished reception set a confident, modern tone; a generous lounge with a logo and selfie wall gives patients a beautiful, on-brand moment; and a private check-out with retail display lets the visit end as smoothly as it began. Behind the scenes, a well-planned staff lounge and efficient support spaces keep the practice running effortlessly.
The impact is a studio that feels sleek and advanced without ever feeling cold a space where patients trust they’re getting the best, and feel cared for at every step. By starting from Dr. Korman’s vision and engineering every square foot around it, Simour created an aesthetics practice that delivers advanced care in a setting that feels modern, calm, and unmistakably elevated.
