But MyHouston Surgeons decided to flip the script and create a space that feels more like a luxurious hotel than a typical medical facility. The Concept: A Modern Take on Classic Elegance

The idea behind the surgery suite’s design was to make it feel welcoming and comfortable, almost like you’re stepping into a hotel rather than a medical center. We aimed to blend classic, traditional elements with a modern twist, creating a space that’s both timeless and current.

From the elegant moldings to the rich marble textures, every detail has been carefully chosen to create a calming and luxurious ambiance. It’s a place where patients can feel relaxed and at ease, even while preparing for a surgical procedure.

Translating our Client’s Vision into Reality

From the get-go, our client had a clear vision. They wanted the surgery suite to feel more like a hotel than a typical medical space. This vision influenced everything, from the overall design concept to the specific features included in the suite.

One of the standout details the client was particularly keen on was the gold pendant lights in the reception area. These lights don’t just brighten the space, they add a touch of luxury and make a strong first impression when patients and guests walk in. The warm, golden glow sets the tone for the rest of the suite, making it feel inviting and upscale.

Another key feature our client requested was a custom implant display in the exam room. This isn’t just any display, it’s designed to hold up to 100 pairs of implants, allowing patients to see and try them out during consultations. It’s a practical feature that also adds a layer of interactivity to the patient experience.

Choosing the Right Materials: Timeless Meets Modern

When it came to selecting materials, our design team aimed for a mix of timeless and modern elements that would create a welcoming, luxurious vibe. We’ve put together a mood board featuring a rich palette of materials that work well together, adding depth and character to the space.

One of the most eye-catching features is the flooring. As soon as patients walk in, they’ll be greeted by wood herringbone flooring, which adds warmth and a bit of visual texture. This is framed by a black marble border, which brings in a touch of elegance and ties everything together. The combination of wood and marble perfectly balances the natural and refined elements, keeping with the modern traditional theme.

Our team didn’t stop at the flooring. Marble is used throughout the suite, featuring rich veins and deep tones that add even more depth to the overall design. These marble accents are paired with stones and wood, creating a harmonious blend of textures that feel both luxurious and comforting.

A Standout Feature: The Implant Display

One of the most unique aspects of the surgery suite is the custom-built implant display in the exam room. This feature is a great example of how our design team merged form and function. The display is designed to hold up to 100 different pairs of implants, each one lit up to showcase its details.
